Soho House is pretty synonymous with style – the private member’s club prides itself on decking out all its locations with the hottest trends, and even has its own range of homeware. When you think quintessential Soho House, the iconic striped sun loungers which line their pools everywhere from Miami to Mykonos, most likely come to front of mind.
So it’s probably no surprise that Soho Home have decided to start selling them, so you can get the look whether you’re a member or not. Their first outdoor furniture range launched last summer and it’s truly some of the best garden furniture selections we’ve seen. But it comes at a price. A rather high one…
If, like us, you’re looking for more affordable options to emulate the look of the best sun lounger design, then the very similar Beliani garden lounger is just as lovely.
Soho Home Ardingly Outdoor Lounger, House Stripe, Red
If your budget allows for it, then we couldn’t recommend the Soho Home outdoor lounger more – complete with the multi-level reclining teak wood frame with back wheels and padded upholstery in red and white stripes, referencing the colourways of London’s Shoreditch House.
Beliani
Wooden Reclining Sun Lounger With Cushion Blue Cesana
Made with acacia wood, this budget-friendly design also features an adjustable backrest with three levels and similar back wheels for easy moving around. The cushion may not have stripes, but that’s an easy fix!
Take the Ardingly Outdoor Lounger in House Stripe, selling for a whopping £2,995. It’s a beautiful piece of garden furniture that we would love to have. But it’s a little bit outside our budget. So we started looking around for some lovely lookalikes – and we found the perfect one, if we do say so ourselves.
It’s the Beliani Cesana garden lounger available at B&Q, costing £319.99 which is over £2,500 cheaper than the Soho Home one. Simply add a striped cushion, like this one from Amazon and you’re good to go. You could go on holiday for that amount and lounge at a hotel pool instead!
Il Tuo Artigiano Design
Padded Cushion for Garden Beach Lounger
If you don’t want to buy a whole new sun lounger because you already have one, then you can just dress it up with a new Soho House-esque seat cushion like this one from Amazon.
George Home Boho Parasol – Navy
Apart from the striped sun loungers, part of the Soho Home outdoor furniture range is also the Tuuci parasol with a scalloped, fringed trim and a price tag of £4,495. But George Home’s £18 alternative is just as lovely, in our opinion.
John Lewis ANYDAY Bold Stripe Indoor/Outdoor Cushion
If you just want to add an accent reminiscent of the Soho House aesthetic, then a striped outdoor cushion like this one on top of a garden chair or a lounger is perfect.
If, on the other hand, money’s no object then you can go the other way and go even more luxe with the cabana version.
Is nearly £5k a lot of money? Yes, but it’s actually on sale from £9,995 so you are seeing a 50% discount. This day bed comes with a removable awning so you can soak up the sun, or enjoy some shade.
The striped loungers can be spotted at most Soho House pools, so having a piece of this chic, exclusive scene in our own outdoor spaces sounds like a dream come true.
And if your budget allows for it, then we couldn’t recommend the Soho Home outdoor lounger more – complete with the multi-level reclining teak wood frame with back wheels and padded upholstery in red and white stripes, referencing the colourways of Shoreditch House.
But if, like us, you’re looking for more affordable options to emulate the look of the best sun lounger design, then the Beliani garden lounger isn’t a million miles off.
